Parliament launches redesigned website | THE DAILY HERALD

 

PHILIPSBURG–The Parliament of St. Maarten has launched its redesigned website

  The redesigned website offers quick and easy access to essential information and features, while offering a more comprehensive understanding of the structure and organisation of the Parliament of St. Maarten, it was stated in a press release on Wednesday.

  The website also offers updated information on news and press releases, upcoming meetings of Parliament, profiles of Members of Parliament and legislative updates such as national ordinances, amendments, motions, etc. 

  The redesigned website has a clean, uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced content on all parliamentary-related business, the release said. “Parliament is excited about the launch of the new website and the information it provides to the public. The public is encouraged to visit and explore the Parliament’s website to stay abreast with the Parliament of St. Maarten.”

  Parliament also launched its very first informative video entitled: “What is Parliament?” on Tuesday, September 10, at the reception on the occasion of the new parliamentary year 2019-2020 at Sheer Restaurant.

  The video is the first in a series of videos to be launched every few weeks. The history of the Parliament of Sint Maarten and the role of the Parliament as supervisor of government and co-legislator is explained in the first video.

  The series of videos will be launched via all Parliament’s social media platforms. To stay abreast on parliamentary activities follow them on the social media platforms.
