Parliament to review two law amendments today | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–Two law amendments are up for review in a Central Committee meeting of Parliament today, Wednesday, starting at 10:00am. Justice Minister Cornelius de Weever will be present for the sitting in Parliament House.

  Up for review are the amendment to the National Ordinance regulating the notary office for the exercising of notarial competencies in Saba and St. Eustatius by the notary of St. Maarten, and the amendment to the national ordinance on the obligation to notify cross-border money transfers in response to recommendations 32 and 33 of the Financial Action Task Force.

  Also on the agenda is the approval of the delegation and provision for Members of Parliament to participate in the tripartite meeting and work visit in Suriname on February 10-15.
