Cheerleaders in their white lab coats making perfumes in the Tijon Parfumerie.
MARIGOT–Four of the New England Patriots Cheerleaders, while on the island for a photoshoot, took time out of their busy schedule to create their own perfume at the Tijon Parfumerie in Grand Case.
In addition, as is given to all similar guests making perfume, each received a complimentary gift bag of Tijon products. Cameras followed the fragrant action as their perfume creation experience was videotaped for their US television show.
“The Parfumerie was the favourite part of my trip,” commented Alex Brandy, captain of the cheerleaders, adding “It was so much fun making our own perfume and I named it after the team; POMS in Paradise.”
Tijon’s perfumer John Berglund stated: “The cheerleaders did a wonderful job creating and naming their custom perfumes. They simply couldn’t have been more gracious and their presence was so meaningful to the progress being made on the island. We’d like to thank them, and thank Divi Resort for hosting the group and, along with the tourist bureaus, for recommending our unique perfume-making activity.”
Tijon is the only place in the world where guests can create their own perfume choosing from over 300 oils, creating three fragrances and bottling the one they like best, in a lab coat with a workbook, with their formula saved by Tijon should they wish to re-order in the future. Over 12,000 guests have created their own perfume at Tijon to date.
Tijon, located where the French airport road intersects the beach road, also offers 22 of its branded perfumes for sale, collectively known as the “Fragrances of the French Caribbean,” along with skin care products and unique gifts. Last December, after the passing of Hurricane Irma, Tijon quietly celebrated their tenth year of operation.
