Place to do laundry

The Philipsburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church recently received a washing machine and dryer from the Indian Merchants Association (IMA). The equipment will be used to launder the clothes of people who are living in temporary housing and those who do not have access to washing facilities. The women’s ministries had made a call to Beds N’ Beyond store to assist with two washing machines and dryers that can function as a mini-laundromat for needy families after Hurricane Irma.

The machines will be installed in the Hewey Building on the church premises in Zagersgut where families can make an appointment to do laundry. The donation was presented to Senior Pastor Vashni Cuvalay and women’s ministry leader Cameka Henry by IMA President Damu Rawtani, Vice-President Sidharth “Cookie” Bijlani, members Vinod Kotai and Hanisha Alwani. Cuvalay thanked IMA for its assistance.
