ANGUILLA--The Royal Anguilla Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Alphonse Travis Carty of North Hill for possession of firearms and ammunitions on Thursday, August 25.\r\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n

Carty was found in possession of two hand guns and more than one hundred rounds of ammunition during the execution of a search warrant at his premises. He was charged with the offences and taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Friday, August 26.\r\n

Carty was offered bail in the sum of EC $80,000 bond and EC $10,000 cash with two sureties. He was, however, unable to make the conditions of the bail and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.\r\n

He is due back in court on the Monday, November 14, for the commencement of the Preliminary Inquiry into the charges.\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t
