SOUTH REWARD–The Juvenile Department is investigating a case involving a fourteen-year-old student attending St. Maarten Vocational Training School who was caught by a teacher waving a knife in the face of another student on Thursday.
The aggressor ran away and tried to hide the knife he had in his possession. The police were called immediately to investigate what was taking place.
Community Police Officer Felix Richards and a patrol went to the scene and carried out an intense search during which they found the knife in question, along with a pair of scissors and a flare gun believed to belong to the suspect. These items were all confiscated for further investigation and the suspect was arrested. He was taken to the Philipsburg police station, where his parents were informed about the situation.
