A male officer on a police motorcycle got into a accident on LB Scott Road around 8:40pm Sunday. It was mentioned that the bottom part of his foot was badly mangled. It appears the victim was overtaking a car and perhaps misjudged how close an oncoming van was. He ended up in a sliding position to avoid a head on collision and the bike fell on him. A passenger in the van was also hurt, but the driver was okay and remained on the scene. He happened to be an off duty policeman. The officer on the bike was in uniform and reportedly on his way home. Unconfirmed reports say his name is Ranis and his rank is major.
