PHILIPSBURG--The family of Alexander Boasman is mourning the loss of the young St. Maarten police officer, Today, Monday after passing away due to his injuries in Colombia late on Sunday evening. 

Boasman was in a horrific traffic accident in December while driving a scooter. He was hit by a Jeep, damaging his lungs and head during the incident.
