Police officers released, but they remain suspects   | THE DAILY HERALD

 

SABA/ST. EUSTATIUS–The two officers of Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN, who were arrested in Bonaire on Monday, have been released after questioning by the National Detectives, it was reported Thursday. The two are suspected of having used a fuel card for private purposes.

The National Detectives are currently working on a report which will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. The Prosecutor’s Office will be making a decision about possible prosecution as soon as possible, it was stated.

Both police officers remain suspended. In addition, a disciplinary investigation has been commissioned by the Chief of Police.
