Mega D Youth Foundation wrapped up its participation in the five-year Kansen voor Jongeren (in English – Chances for a Child) project this week.

The foundation helped to funnel 70 St. Eustatius students through the programme supported by Samenwerkende Fonds. Foundation Creative Director Dion “Mega D” Humphreys said it was good so many students achieved so much via the project that has also opened opportunities for other youngsters to have an outlet to follow their dreams. Statia students Shauneece Hous, Suveri Tearr and Oville Burgan showed their appreciation for the project at the closing event held in Bonaire. The project’s goal was to help young people, socio-emotionally and in their school careers so they can go through life as economically as possible. Participants received financial and substantive support. The project was an initiative of Queen Máxima.
