GEBE CEO Kenrick Chittick holding his Select Distinguished award.
PHILIPSBURG–Members of Power To Serve (PTS) Toastmasters Club expressed their gratitude to utilities company GEBE chief executive officer (CEO) Kenrick Chittick recently with a Select Distinguished award.
PTS Toastmasters Club was chartered in 2017 as a Toastmasters Club for GEBE employees. Chittick supported this, recognising that “assisting employees in their personal development is equally beneficial to the sustainability of the employees, GEBE and by extension its customers,” said the club in a press release on Monday.
In its first year of existence, the club received a Select Distinguished award from Toastmasters International.
PTS Toastmasters Club President Wayne Jeffers and founder/Vice President of Education Georges Richardson believed that honouring Chittick with the Select Distinguished award was a good way to “thank him for his continual support and commitment to employee development through Toastmasters.”
With the club’s sustainable development in mind, Jeffers and Richardson say they remain committed to encouraging more GEBE employees to join the organisation.
Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organisation that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of promoting communication, and public speaking and leadership skills.
