This afternoon through Thursday midday: East-northeast to east with a gentle to fresh breeze of 12 to 21 miles per hour and occasional higher gusts.

SYNOPSIS:  
Showers and isolated thunderstorms from the tail end of a tropical wave will continue to affect the island for this afternoon. However, due to strong driving winds, significant rainfall accumulations are not expected. Meanwhile, the robust Atlantic high pressure system will maintain brisk easterly winds across the region. 
Seas are expected to be moderate to rough with waves peaking near 9 feet. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.
