A loose surface pressure gradient will maintain mostly light winds across the region. Hot and humid conditions will persist through the next couple of days, stay hydrated and keep to the shade whenever possible.
Seas will remain slight to moderate through the next few days.

- At 11:00 am the center of Tropical Storm Kirk was located near 13.5N 34.8W, or approximately 1900 miles east-southeast of St. Maarten. The system is moving toward the west near 12 mph, with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph. Further strengthening is expected, however, Kirk is forecast to remain at a safe distance from St. Maarten.
- Another area of interest associated with a tropical wave over the far eastern tropical Atlantic has a low to high (30 to 80%) chance of formation through the next 2 to 7 days.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the progress of these systems and update the public accordingly.
