The strengthened Atlantic high-pressure system will generate brisk winds across the region. Pockets of moisture embedded in the wind flow will result in a few brief showers.   

A small craft advisory is in effect for St. Maarten as seas are peaking near 9 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
