WEATHER:

This afternoon through Saturday midday: Fair to partly cloudy with a few brief showers possible.

Forecast High: 32°C / 90°F             Forecast Low: 27°C / 81°F

Sunset Today: 6:43 P.M.                 Sunrise Tomorrow: 5:52 A.M.

SURFACE WINDS:
This afternoon through Saturday midday: Easterly to northeasterly with a light to moderate breeze of 06 to 13 mph.

SYNOPSIS:

The Atlantic high pressure system will maintain light to moderate winds across the region. Pockets of moisture embedded in the wind flow may cause brief showers.

Seas are expected to remain slight to moderate during the next few days.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to Moderate        WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 5 feet

SPECIAL FEATURES:

1.  A trough of low pressure located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving slowly west northwestward. This system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms and slow development is possible early next week.

2.  A tropical wave interacting with a surface trough is producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the eastern tropical Atlantic. Environmental conditions seem favorable for gradual development and a tropical depression could form this weekend or early next week.

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor these systems and update the public accordingly.

OUTLOOK through Sunday midday: Partly cloudy with isolated showers.

FORECASTER: Albert
