The Provisional Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset launched its first community service project on Sunday with the cleaning up of the Sucker Garden district strip.
The clean-up is part of the initiative to see St. Maarten grow and bounce back better than before post-Hurricane Irma. “Cleaning the island shows signs that we are moving forward, we care for our island and its environment. The club collected more than 10 garbage bags worth of bottles and other debris which was thrown alongside the Sucker Garden Road,” stated the club on Monday. The club thanked those who assisted them with picking up the trash. The Provisional Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset is a newly-established club and has hit the ground running to impact change in the community, according to the organisation on Monday.
