PHILIPSBURG–Rap artiste A-Static visited Marie Genevieve de Weever Primary School on February 24 to deliver a motivational speech to pupils and staff in recognition of his being a former pupil of the school.

The artiste hold the children’s attention by interactions such as giving them a chance to answer questions over the microphone. With outstanding participation of the crowd, A-Static got through to the attendees by delivering a positive message in his music performances.

Pupils were all having the time of their lives by what appeared to be a live concert on the school grounds and were seen mimicking dance routines of modern-day choreography as well as getting in touch with their creative side on the dance floor.

A-Static said, “It felt amazing interacting with the younger generation of what I usually call my little people. Giving them a sense of hope by recognising me as a former student that opened my musical career on those same school grounds is what I aspired to do.”

Not only was it a great show, but the artiste decided that music was not enough to make them get the message, so he had boxes of pizza delivered for the whole school. A-Static thanked everyone for supporting a positive cause that initially started with just a vision. He encourages all local artistes to do the same.
