MARIGOT–A car rental storage garage Rev’ Car located on Route de L’Esperance, on back road near Grand Case Airport, caught fire at around 2:45pm on Wednesday.
According to a short video clip on Facebook from IOTV, five cars were destroyed. The entire building, a metal structure, was also destroyed. The fire spread to Real Auto dealership next door, but it was not known if that building was damaged or how badly.
Capitaine Olivier Esseul indicated fire fighters took some four hours to completely extinguish the blaze. He added the preliminary elements of the enquiry point to an accidental fire. There were no injuries reported.
