PHILIPBSURG–The girls are having their dresses bought or made, the guys are trying to keep pace and the overall excitement is at its usual high for Teen Times Prom Night 2017. Under the theme “Enchanted Forest,” Prom Night 2017 will be held on June 25 from 7:00pm to 2:00am at Tantra nightclub – the second year the event will be at this venue.

Prom Night is a once-in-a-lifetime very formal affair for all high school seniors in St. Maarten. Invited are seniors from St. Dominic High, Milton Peters College (MPC), St. Maarten Academy PSVE, Sundial School, St. Maarten Vocational School, Charlotte Brookson Academy, Learning Unlimited Preparatory School (LU) and Caribbean International Academy (CIA). The event is exclusively for these students who in turn can bring whomever they choose to the prom (does not have to be a senior).

Prom Night will also feature some of the best in local entertainment with St. Maarten’s top DJ, the Cut Creator DJ Outkast as the official entertainer for the night and soca stars Rumer and King James ready to rock Tantra. As usual, students can look forward to the crowning of a Prom King and Queen, Prom Prince and Princess, Best Dress, Best Suit and Best Couple.

“It’s just an overall fun night for our senior students to let out all the stress of high school in a positive way, with good, clean, safe fun,” Teen Times Coordinator Roosje Richardson-Rommy said. “Teen Times provides the venue, the music, the décor, the prizes, and the students have to bring the fun, bring their Prom Spirit and create a night of memories.”

Entrance price for the Prom is US $20 per student. As is customary at every Teen Times event, no alcohol will be served.

Teen Times thanked Tantra management for its cooperation once again with Prom Night.
