SABA–The Caribbean Tourism Marketing Agency has featured Saba in the 2018 first quarter edition of its online Mélange Travel & Lifestyle Magazine.
The magazine is distributed globally and published in January, April, July, and October.
The Caribbean Tourism Marketing Agency promotes the Caribbean as the perfect vacation destination by highlighting its culture, food, art, people and more.
In the January edition of the magazine Saba made it on the cover page. Included in the article is a piece about Saba’s pirate history written by Director of Saba Archaeological Center (SABARC) Ryan Espersen, as well as a highlight of The Hideaway restaurant, which includes a favourite customer recipe. Other elements outlined were attractions, places to stay and travel information.
Commissioner of Tourism Bruce Zagers was interviewed for the article and answered questions about his vision for Saba’s tourism industry. He described Saba as, “A place where safety, tranquillity, charm, and nature are in the foreground of a visitor’s experience. Add an excellent culinary scene, diving, hiking, and heritage activities, and you get an excellent cultural adventure with memories that last a lifetime.”
Zagers expressed his appreciation for the island being featured. “This type of coverage continues to create awareness about Saba and its unique offerings. The piece was an extensive one that highlighted various key attractions on the island, and I am happy that we were a part of it.”
