The life of the late veteran broadcaster and online journalist Samuel Allen Jr. (48) was celebrated on Friday.
He was honoured in a masonic ceremony by the masonic brothers of Union Lodge 266 along with others in the fraternity. This was followed by the open memorial service also in Royal Funeral Home at which a number of people paid tribute to Allen Jr. and his contributions to the media field and the community in general. Allen Jr. spent his entire broadcast career with the Voice of St. Maarten Radio Network and in recent years he also shared his talent on his online news source: sxmislandtime.com.
