POND ISLAND–St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) and CC1 have renewed their partnership for Carnival 2019, the fiftieth celebration of St. Maarten’s Carnival.
“CC1 has once again partnered in a significant way by sponsoring two major events on the Carnival schedule, namely Noche Latina and Daybreak Breakfast Fete. The line-ups for Noche Latina and Breakfast Fete will be released soon.
CC1 will also be assisting SCDF with beverages for its local shows, the company will significantly promote Carnival through its collectable Coca Cola cans, just for the 50th anniversary, and much more. CC1 will also be very active in Carnival in various other aspects such as troupes, et cetera,” SCDF said in a statement Tuesday.
“We are very happy to be able to once again call CC1 a Carnival partner, especially this year,” SCDF President Alston Lourens said.
“We have a very good relationship with the company and its team. CC1 is a dependable partner. In a year when many in the private sector could not assist, CC1 stuck with SCDF and we are most grateful for their support and partnership,” Lourens added.
He further explained that CC1 will be launching several promotions leading up to Carnival, in which the general public will have the opportunity to win prizes, including Carnival passes.
“The company will be very active. That sort of activity also helps to promote Carnival, so we encourage the general public to support CC1 in return and participate,” Lourens said.
