PHILIPSBURG–Seven persons have been nominated to contest the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry (COCI) election for a chance to take up one of three openings on the COCI board.
Six persons were nominated for the one seat to represent the small business sector and four persons (three of whom were also nominated for the small business sector) were nominated for the two seats for the large business sector. Nominations concluded on November 26, at 12:00 noon.
The six candidates for the large business sector are: Jaques Annicette, Aurillio Baly, Mirurgia Brown, Edsel Gumbs, Vinod Kotai and Claudia Lista. The four candidates for the large business sector are: Baly, Brown, Lista and Charlise Philips.
Elections for the positions on the board will be held on Friday, December 6. COCI urges voters to pick up their voting cards at the COCI office by December 6.
