SHTA, Carib Beer call for 2019 events information | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–Companies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) can submit for inclusion in the 2019 edition of the St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) and Carib Beer Events Calendar their publicly accessible events that would draw the interest of island visitors. Deadline for early submission is September 20.

SHTA member and non-member companies have to pay a printing fee for the inclusion of an event in the calendar. The fee is again waived for NGOs and foundations. NGOs will also be featured in the “NGO of the Week” column of the SHTA Newsletter.

The poster-size calendar has been displayed in public spaces and was distributed in the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta and the St. Maarten/St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) goodie bags. The past two editions were “downloaded hundreds of times” and requests for copies were received from several countries, including Aruba, the United States and the Netherlands. The upcoming edition will also be published in SHTA’s in-room hotel magazine Visit St. Maarten/St. Maarten.

This third calendar in the series seeks to promote events to show St. Maarten as a dynamic place that is recovering from the devastation after Hurricane Irma a year ago, according to an SHTA press statement on Tuesday.

The 2018 calendar, published only three months after Irma, served as a symbol to partners and visitors that St. Maarten remains vibrant.

Information about events should be sent to

marketing@shta.com with date, time, location, and any other crucial event information.
