SMART attendees to get preview of Adventure Park

PHILIPSBURG–Attendees of the St. Maarten/St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) will receive a sneak preview and experience St. Maarten’s newest attraction Rainforest Adventure Park under construction at Rockland Estate.

Visitors will enjoy a sneak peek of the Soualiga Sky Explorer chairlift, a ride up the 2,630 ft. span as the landscape unfolds below to the top of one of St. Maarten’s highest hill. Other attractions to be offered are the Flying Dutchman, the steepest zip-line in the world, the Sentry Hill Zip-line and the Schooner Ride – surfing down the hill in an inner tube. Both cruise and tour operators have already made the attraction part of various packages.

After the preview, Rainforest will host a cocktail in the Emilio Wilson Museum housed in the former plantation house built in the 1700s, said SMART organisers L’Association des Hoteliers de St. Martin (AHSM), St. Martin Tourism Office, St. Maarten Tourist Bureau and St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA).

The sneak preview and the opening ceremony for SMART will be held following each other on June 14. The conference, to be held in The Westin St. Maarten Dawn Beach Resort and Spa ends on June 16.
