This clogged and overflowing culvert underneath D.C. Steeg has been a constant hazard for pedestrians walking across this alley on their way up or down Front Street. Debris has collected in the culvert following the recent heavy rains and has trapped water that has become smelly. The very wide slats of the grate and the water covering the culvert make it dangerous for anyone who unexpectedly steps on the site, as they could sustain injuries.
