Smith wants residents to visit annual Career and Study Fair | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Wycliffe Smith encourages students, parents and those interested to attend this year’s Career and Study Fair, which is being held at Belair Community Centre today, Tuesday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Doors will be open to pre-exam and exam students of local high schools between 9:00am and 12:00pm, and to the public from 3:00 to 6:00pm.

Smith said on Monday, “Everyone who will visit the Career and Study Fair will be better prepared to make their choices for furthering their studies or their careers, as they get exposed to the opportunities available locally, regionally and internationally. There are many tertiary institutions, including our own, as well as the overseas colleges that will be presenting there. The displays from the corporate organisations are sure to be enlightening.”

According to the Planning Committee, colleges in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Anguilla, the United States and Holland will join University of St. Martin, National Institute for Professional Advancement (NIPA) and other local post-secondary institutions for the fair. Businesses and government departments also plan to be present at the annual fair.
