CAY HILL–St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) will be hosting several activities to commemorate World Kidney Day, which will be observed on Thursday, March 8.
SMMC specialists, staff and patients of the Nephrology Department have created activities leading up to and including an in-house celebration and information session to be held Thursday
The activities consist of social media campaigns in addition to radio interviews and articles highlighting SMMC’s kidney patient care provision. Dialysis patient information and general information regarding kidney disease, amongst other things, are ongoing throughout the week.
SMMC’s Dialysis Department, patients, nurses and specialists will host an informational open house from 1:00 to 4:00pm March 8. Attendees can expect presentations by the SMMC nephrologists, current dialysis patients as well as demonstrations from dialysis nurses. Nurses will present the experiences, challenges and triumphs of the department post-Hurricane Irma.
SMMC encourages everyone to attend the event on March 8.
