BELVEDERE–The first 31 of 200 mobile homes were recently transferred via notarial deed to St. Maarten Housing and Development Foundation (SMHDF) in keeping with a 1997 agreement signed by the Dutch Government, St. Maarten Government and SMHDF. The transfer of the homes and 15,920 square metres of land have a combined value of US $2,629,000.

The properties provided by Government will be part of an extensive five-year programme launched by the Foundation.
