Marigot–SOS Radio 95.9 FM begins fifteen hours of election coverage as of Monday, February 5, 2018, managing director of SOS Radio Jacques “Billy D” Hamlet, stated Thursday.

“For the past two weeks our regular ‘Talking Point’ radio programme has been increased one extra hour, airing from 9:00am to 11:00am,” he said.

To accommodate the numerous request by candidates participating in the February 26, snap elections another increase of one hour will begin this week, aired from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm.

“We take our role as media very seriously in providing vital information for the public on this upcoming election,” he added.

The new radio programme will be co-hosted by “Billy D” and Olivier “DJ Net” Hamlet and journalist Marie Cornelius. It will amount to a total of 15 hours of weekly election issues.

“We are inviting the public to join us every day Monday through Friday, for well informed and unbiased interviews,” said DJ Net, who is also an SOS Radio producer. “Given the controversies surrounding this snap election we are very concerned about low voter turnout at the polls, so we have decided to increase awareness of the parliamentary elections,” said Hamlet.
