St. Maarten featured on upcoming ‘Caribbean Life’ | THE DAILY HERALD

Newlyweds Brenda and Tom Peters in St. Maarten.

SIMPSON BAY–Newlyweds Brenda and Tom Peters will become St. Maarten ambassadors when an episode of Caribbean Life, a highly-rated show on the United States-based HGTV channel, airs on Sunday, April 28.

The Bots and their realtor Michele Warden of Sotheby’s International St. Martin filmed the 30-minute episode on-island with the HGTV crew less than five days after they were married in Ontario, Canada.

The description of the episode as released by the channel is: “Newlyweds leave their farm in Ontario, Canada, for a life of adventure on St. Maarten. She wants a move-in-ready condo with a large kitchen, but he’s looking for a boat where he can spend his days on the water.”

The new Mrs. Peters said in an e-mail to the newspaper: “The filming for the show was done last August. … We spent many long hot days filming for a 30-minute episode during our honeymoon no less. We were married not 5 days before.”

The episode “showcases a lot of things around St. Maarten as well as some crazy adventures Tom and I did. We will have not seen it before everyone else, so it should be interesting,” said Mrs. Peters.
