PORT–St. Maarten has captured in the number two spot in CruiseCritic.com Cruiser’s Choice 2019 Awards. The “choice” sought the top five destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda. King’s Wharf – Bermuda took the number one spot, while Grand Turk – Turks and Caicos was at number three, St. Kitts and Nevis fourth, and St. Croix, US Virgin Island in fifth place.
St. Maarten was described by one CruiseCritic.com member as: “Best port of the trip. Small enough to see it all on foot. Great shops, excellent food options, beach right off the ferry to the island.”
Port management said of the recognition St. Maarten is again favoured by cruise travellers as one of the top destinations, “We are pleased once again to receive such an accolade as we continue to work diligently to contributing to memorable experiences for cruise passengers as they rediscover our destination throughout 2019,” said the Port.
The Cruise Critic Annual Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards names the world’s top cruise destinations based entirely on consumer ratings submitted with reviews on CruiseCritic.com. The awards name the top cruise destinations across 15 regions worldwide. Cruise Critic is the leading cruise reviews and information site which hosts the largest online cruise community in the world.
