Cherry Tree in St. Eustatius has become a prime breeding ground for mosquitos. The area was dug up as part of the concrete road project.
All the newly-dug roads in the area transform into mini lakes during rainfall, especially Concordia Road, Dr. B.W. Biesheuvelweg, Dr. H.A. Korthalsweg and Cherry Tree Road. The stagnant water and mud form prime breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Residents in the area hope the authorities will do something about the situation.
