ST. EUSTATIUS–St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) is preparing to host the seventh annual Statia Sustainability Conference on September 26 and 27. “Our aim remains the same: to inform, educate and motivate Statians about sustainability and sustainable living,” said Director of Tourism Charles Lindo.
The conference themed, “Embracing Environmental Health and Wellness in Tourism,” will feature focused panel discussions, special presentations and interactive workshops to create opportunities for delegates to interact with leading local, regional and international experts.
“The Sustainability Conference is vitally important for our Statian community. It provides an opportunity for delegates to focus their attention and get a clear insight into becoming more sustainable,” said STDF’s Product Development Manager Maya Leon-Pandt.
Last year, the devastation of hurricanes Maria and Irma affected the sixth Sustainability Conference, as it had to be delayed from September to December.
