ST. EUSTATIUS–St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) has launched a refreshed Instagram account with the new handle @statia.tourism.

Foundation’s director Charles Lindo invites everyone to take a moment to visit, like and follow, as the foundation plans to publish ongoing snippets of St. Eustatius on this online platform. “While there, please comment, share with friends and family, ask questions and interact with them,” said Lindo.

With this new look, the Tourism Office hopes to pique people’s interest and entice them to explore more of what Statia has to offer. “When we can travel freely again, we invite you to visit and participate in the many eco-adventures and underwater explorations that make our island extra special,” said Statia Tourism’s product development manager Maya Pandt.

Statia boasts one of the best dive locations in the Caribbean, with flourishing nature below, as well as above. Whether from within the Caribbean region or beyond, Statia remains an interesting gem for travellers of all ages to explore, Pandt said.

“It is our goal to introduce you to the many improvements we have made in preparation for your visit or your return to our island.”

  1. You have to wait, and just use one of the words that are blacklisted by the dictator-boss of Faecesbook, and your website will be out of business. Only their algorithm rules.
So whenever you use the colors black or white, or the words race, struggle, fight, you will be banned.
A not well thought idea to depend fully on another’s business website.
    Rethink what is your business!

  2. Can’t find the account. And via their Facebook account Facebook tries to take over all your personal data!
If you don’t like their cookies, you cannot see anything.
    What tourism information? Not visible!

  3. I believe the organization is aimed at tourists, not their own local followers. Furthermore if they would look into the ages of former tourists visiting the island, they could see a not so young age average. This is not the average socialmedia population!
Then it’s very strange to use social media instead of one’s own website. People who don’t want Facebook, Instagram, etc. can’t see the information. And believe it, they are many who hate social media.
Besides, whatever you think about the former US-president, if an organization makes himselves dependent of a not-self-controlled gremium, it’s dependent of the whims of an foreign billionaire.
