PHILIPSBURG–Education Minister Silveria Jacobs is urging all students, who have received study financing from government to pursue tertiary studies, to attend a special “bon voyage” ceremony at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) SXM this Sunday. The ceremony will begin at SXM Airport at 1:00pm. Jacobs said a total of 30 students will be leaving the country to pursue their tertiary studies in the Netherlands on Sunday. They will be accompanied by two persons of the Department of Study Financing. Students studying in the region, who received study financing, are also encouraged to attend the ceremony. The minister commended the students who applied, and were granted study financing. She wished them well in their studies, and urged them to remain focused on what they want to do. She thanked the Airport and Domino’s Pizza for co-sponsoring the ceremony.
