ST. EUSTATIUS–The seventh annual Statia Sustainability Conference added another speaker to their line-up: Korra Pietersz-Juliana. St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) said she is one of the facilitators of the “Statia – Designing our Wellness Future” workshop at Mike van Putten Youth Centre, September 27 and 28. On the weekly live tourism programme “For Your Information” (FYI) last week Thursday, Pieterz expressed her passion about wellness. In 2012, as an already established entrepreneur, she exited her global-marketing career and embarked upon a quest to pursue a healthier and happier lifestyle. This journey led to the launching of her second career with the creation of wellness company Oasean Group.
As a professional consulting firm, Oasean specializes in corporate wellness programmes and economic development of the wellness sector in the hospitality industry.
Clients who have been inspired by her new approach to corporate development through wellness, include companies which value the importance of investing in the physical and mental wellbeing of their employees and value them as a cohesive team.
Oasean provides health and wellness programmes, teambuilding activities and wellness-related advisory services.
Pietersz has evolved into a prominent influencer in the wellness industry and the words “visionary” and “nature lover” are often used to describe her.
She is a firm believer in the development of wellness tourism as an important pillar of sustainable economic development and is passionate about reviving Curaçao once again to its renowned title of “Island of Healing” and sharing its holistic secrets with the world. She strives to play a key role in the development of Curaçao as a world-class wellness destination for both the local community and international travellers.
