This past weekend law enforcement officers from St. Maarten and the Dutch Kingdom along with Emergency first responders came together in a friendly game of soccer at Raoul Illidge Sports Complex. Before the start of the competition, they stood together in the Learning Unlimited school parking lot to form a human #SXMSTRONG sign as a symbol of solidarity and support for the island. Government thanked the Police Forces of Sint Maarten, Curaçao, Aruba and the Netherlands, the Koninklijke Marechaussee, the Fire Department, Dutch military and Immigration for coming out. The event was made possible by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education Culture, Youth and Sport, and a group of volunteers. The winning match was played between Flames All Star, a team of local soccer players, and the Navy and Army. The Navy and Army team was congratulated for winning the final game.
