PHILIPSBURG–Social and Health Insurances SZV is asking patients to refrain from visiting the SZV offices to obtain approvals or stamps.
This new measure is a part of temporarily adjusted procedures put in place by the organisation to make sure that health care services remain uninterrupted and available, said SZV in a press release on Wednesday.
Patients are asked to not visit SZV for their stamp on prescriptions. SZV said the treating physician will forward the prescription to the necessary pharmacies or provider (such as Medicosmetics) via email, with the patient or with a companion if the patient is experiencing flu-like symptoms.
“If a prescription needs to be stamped, the pharmacy will email us for approval. SZV will respond digitally to the pharmacy,” said the release.
Patients requiring authorisations for strip, lancet or AVBZ are also advised to not visit the SZV offices for their approvals.
According to SZV, the treating physician will write a prescription for the medication, supplements or medical aids and provide this to the necessary provider (pharmacy, Medicosmetics) who will email SZV for authorisation. Approvals will be given for one month.
Paramedical referrals for physical therapy, speech therapy, dietician et cetera, will not change, said SZV. “Referrals for any paramedical healthcare provider should be submitted electronically as usual by the treating physician and will be processed accordingly,” said the release.
SZV said it would continue to update the public via its online channels. Persons are encouraged to regularly check the latest information on its website
www.szv.sx or via Facebook page “SZV Social & Health Insurances”.
