ST. EUSTATIUS–The second Kids Council workshop for teachers of primary schools in St. Eustatius was held last week Wednesday. Teachers of Governor de Graaff, Golden Rock, Bethel Methodist, Seventh Day Adventist and NuStar schools were present. A Kids Council helps an organisation or an institution to think structurally about strategic issues.

“Everyone is to benefit from a Kids Council: Children get the opportunity to think about real issues concerning the world around them; decision-makers get fresh perspectives; and teachers get inspired by the creative intellect of their pupils,” said Kids Council programme leader Cherida Creebsburg.

Participating teachers received information on how they can guide the students once they are approached for a company’s or institution’s Kids Council.

The workshop was facilitated by Tamara Salsbach from Talensa in Curaçao, and by Creebsburg.
