MARIGOT—Three persons have died following a two-car accident that took place on the RN7 bypass in Grand Case on Wednesday, May 29, at 9:50pm, the Gendarmerie confirmed.

The Gendarmerie in its communique described “a violent head-on collision between two vehicles.”

Despite the quick intervention by emergency services, three persons from St. Martin aged respectively 19, 20, and 31 years died at the scene. Three other persons were hospitalized but their lives were not considered to be in danger.

An enquiry into the accident has been opened by the Marigot brigade of the Gendarmerie under the authorization of the Public Prosecutor to determine the exact causes of this accident.
