Three victims identified in Middle Region shooting | THE DAILY HERALD

PHILIPSBURG–Police have confirmed the identities of three of the four victims of the shooting that occurred outside Stephanie Mini Marche in Middle Region around 4:45pm Monday, October 28. In this shooting two men died and another two were injured.

  Police said the injured men were M.M. and R.G.

  A man I.B. was shot in the head and later succumbed to his wounds at St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC).

  The fourth victim in the shooting was shot in the abdomen, fled the scene on foot, collapsed in an alley and died of his injuries. Police said on Sunday that he still has not been officially identified.

  The St. Kitts-Nevis newspaper The Labour Spokesman reported on Tuesday, October 29, that this victim was a 19-year-old man from the village of St. Peters in St. Kitts.

  Police have said they are not discounting the possibility that he was national of St. Kitts and Nevis. Police also said that preliminary indications suggest that he had been in St. Maarten “for some time” prior to the shooting and “may be known to persons in the community.”
