Tranquility Beach Resort is planned for Meads Bay

Signing with Victor Banks, Ian Edwards and Neil Freeman

ANGUILLA–Chief Minister Victor Banks, Managing Director of Sunset Homes Ian A.W. Edwards and Chairman and Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Aries Capital Neil Freeman, both principles of Tranquility Beach Anguilla, held a ceremonial public signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the resort at Government House on August 18, 2017. Banks welcomed the principles and noted that although the official MOU had been signed in December 2015, the principles did not want to hold the ceremonial public signing until they were fully satisfied that they were ready to deliver and begin construction.

First phase of Tranquility Beach planned at Meads Bay

Edwards provided details for the resort’s initial phase. There will be 18 condominium units located in three contemporary styled three-storey buildings, each with its own individual plunge pool. The construction site is already cleared and he and Freeman are in the final stages of securing financing for the phase-one start as well as finalizing arrangements for equipment and the hiring of the construction labour force. The initial phase will be built on less than an acre of land, but they have an additional 10-plus acres of adjoining property for subsequent development. The ground breaking should occur in approximately one month.

Freeman thanked the Chief Minister for his and the government’s support. He said his company specializes in high quality projects in high quality locations, and this beautiful resort will draw people from all over the world that will be proud to come to Anguilla.
