Police Traffic Department officers are investigating a traffic accident which occurred on Great Bay Road at 3:30am Saturday when a black SUV slammed into a white Hyundai.
The driver of the Hyundai was seriously injured and trapped inside the vehicle after the accident. The Fire Department was at the scene of the accident and assisted officials with taking the woman out of the smashed vehicle. She was transferred to St. Maarten Medical Center and has been reported as being in stable condition after doctors attended to her.
The driver of the black SUV was arrested after his vehicle collided with the car.
