Truck slams into house

BETTY ESTATE--Just 15 minutes shy of mid-day on Wednesday, a Mac dump truck driver lost control and smashed into the wall of a home located at the beginning of Poinsetta road.

Fortunately no one was hurt but the house sustained considerable damage as a result of the impact. Telem and GEBE were on hand to advice Police about the cables lying down on the side of the road.

The house belongs to a former police officer. Police had the heavy duty truck removed and traffic in the area was allowed to utilize the roads after 1:00pm.
