Trump’s St. Martin estate put up for sale

AMSTERDAM–Various international and Dutch media this week reported on the sale of the St. Martin Terres Basses beach-front estate of United States President Donald Trump.

The price tag of the Château des Palmiers estate located on Plum Bay/Baie aux Prunes has not been made public, but according to international media it has been set at US $28 million. Trump is said to have bought the estate with two villas and a manager’s house in 2013 for $20 million.

The realtor, Sotheby’s International Realty, which has the 4.8 acres property on its listing, states that the price is available upon request. At the time of the purchase, Trump referred to the two hectares estate as his jewel in the Caribbean. Château des Palmiers was mainly used for rental purposes: the cost is reportedly $6,000 per night and up.

The various news outlets that dedicated attention to the selling of the beach-front estate showed photos of the interior of the five-bedroom, ocean-side villa and the four-bedroom garden villa. In total the property has 11 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms.

One of the bedrooms features a Jacuzzi, while the property includes a tennis court, large swimming pool, fitness centre, a billiard room, dining rooms and various sea-view balconies. The privacy of the guests is protected by a 2.5 metre wall.
