ST. EUSTATIUS–Two flights on Friday will link St. Eustatius and Curaçao. The first round-trip flight departs St. Eustatius at 9:00am and the other at 2:00pm. The seats on the flights cost US $380 per person.
Dihiara Pierre-Arnaud of Island Essence said the charter flights were organised to assist persons stuck on Curaçao or Statia due to the loss of air connection with St. Maarten. The neighbouring island’s airport remains closed due to severe damage from Hurricane Irma on September 6.
The company has also postponed its “September 2 Remember” event until further notice.
Pierre-Arnaud said: “We will surely remember this September with all the aftermath of hurricane Irma and Maria. There have been a lot of setbacks … but we are thankful for life.”
