Two seriously injured in Lowlands car accident

MARIGOT–A Kia Picanto car containing eight occupants crashed into a wall in the Lowlands during the early morning hours of Thursday, seriously injuring at least two of the occupants, the Gendarmerie disclosed on Friday.

The accident occurred at 3:00am and was caused by the driver losing control of the vehicle due to alcohol consumption. Capitaine Emmanuel Maignan said two occupants were seriously injured, one of whom, a woman, had to be flown out to Guadeloupe for emergency treatment. However, her life is not in danger, he said.

No other details were given.
