Two tourists robbed at knifepoint on Pic Paradis

MARIGOT–Two male tourists had money stolen from them after they were held at knifepoint Thursday afternoon on Pic Paradis, the Gendarmerie reported. The tourists were unharmed in the incident but filed a complaint.

On Wednesday night in French Quarter an attempted armed robbery in a Chinese restaurant was thwarted after a keen-eyed manager noticed that the gun used to threaten employees and patrons was a plastic replica.  The perpetrators changed their minds and escaped. The Gendarmerie is investigating both incidents.
