PHILIPSBURG–Citing developments on the international markets during which the prices of crude oil experienced downward adjustments for unleaded gasoline and upward for diesel fuel, the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication has decided to decrease the maximum consumer price at the pumps for gasoline and increase the price for diesel fuel.
The price of unleaded gasoline will go down by nine cents from the current price of NAf. 2.172 per litre to NAf. 2.088 per litre as of Thursday, September 27, at 6:00am.
At the same date and time, the price of diesel fuel will be increased by five cents from NAf. 1.691 per litre to NAf. 1.748 per litre.
The government of St. Maarten regulates the prices of petroleum products by imposing a maximum price at which wholesalers and retailers can sell these products.
